Didn´t look as windy as yesterday so went out at 2:30pm on yet another
different board, this time the 2001 85L FW. Soon realised it was just as
windy as yesterday, if not stronger, and was mucho overpowered on my 5.2.
Sailing the FW in the strong winds wasn´t as fun as the wave board
yesterday, so decided to just do lots of short runs and practice my gybes.
Very frustrating session since although I got round a fair few, most of
them went seriously Pete Tong.
Came off the water at 3.30pm with arms absolutely killing me. Pulled even
more downhaul on my 5.2 and went out again for half-an-hour at 4.30pm on
the wave board. That put the smile back on my face. Sailing that board is
so much more fun than anything else I have sailed here yet. Very nearly got
round some gybes on it as well. Strangely my arms weren´t hurting at all
when I came in.
Wind seems to have properly arrived here now. Day off tomorrow so fingers
crossed for a good long session. Might rig my 4.6 and put away the 5.2.
